KDPW, the central securities depository of Poland, is set to reduce legal entity identifier (LEI) issuance and renewal fees, as of 1 July.
As the sole Polish institution with authorisation to issue LEIs in the global LEI system, issuance fees will decrease by up to 26 percent from PLN 374 (USD 94.16) to PLN 276 (USD 69.49), with renewal fees reducing from PLN 274 (USD 68.99) to PLN 266 (USD 66.97).
Following the planned fee reductions, KDPW will become one of the least expensive LEI issuers in Europe.
The LEI is a unique global identifier of entities active on financial markets, of which KDPW manages a database of over 21,000 LEIs of entities.
LEIs form a central requirement under several EU regulations including EMIR and SFTR, which comes into effect next month. Â
