ClearToken has become a new member of the International Íø±¬³Ô¹Ï Services Association (ISSA).
ClearToken provides clearing and settlement services that adhere to anti-money laundering (AML) and know-your-customer (KYC) standards.
The firm’s mission is to build regulated post-trade financial market infrastructure and to bring effective risk management to digital asset trading.
As a new member of ISSA, ClearToken aims to contribute to collaborative industry efforts focused on establishing robust standards, enhancing transparency, and promoting the safe adoption of tokenised assets in global markets.
Benjamin Santos-Stephens, ClearToken CEO, says: “We are thrilled to be part of ISSA, a forum that brings together key players across the financial services landscape to solve complex challenges and set the direction for the future of securities.
“Tokenisation is at the forefront of financial innovation, and we are eager to collaborate with other members to lay down the foundations for this transformative technology to flourish."
He believes ClearToken's participation in ISSA will help address the challenges associated with the tokenisation of assets, particularly in areas of interoperability, regulatory compliance, and security standards.
Santos-Stephens adds: “ClearToken’s focus on safely managing tokenisation aligns with ISSA's vision of promoting efficiency, transparency, and risk mitigation within the securities services industry.
“Through collaborative working groups and leadership initiatives, ClearToken and other ISSA members will work towards making tokenised assets a mainstream component of the financial ecosystem.â€
Established in Switzerland in 1979, ISSA works to support its members and address issues within the securities services industry.
The association’s membership comprises more than 130 firms globally, all of whom are actively involved in the securities services industry, including banks, broker-dealers, custodians, stock exchanges, and technology companies.
