CACEIS has promoted Sofian Mezrag to securities finance trader after nearly two years as an assistant trader.

Mezrag, who is based in Luxembourg, will work on the equity finance desk.

He reports to Olivier Zemb, head of equity finance and collateral solution, and Dan Copin global head of securities finance.

Mezrag has nearly eight years experience in securities lending and repo at CACEIS and carried out several roles including team manager, project coordinator, collateral trading and middle office.

Prior to CACEIS, he was a financial analyst specialising in syndicated loans at Crédit Coopératif for just over a year.

Before then, he worked as a junior auditor for COMIRIS Technologies in 2008 for six months.
