Clear Street hires Bisgay as chief financial officer

Independent prime broker Clear Street has appointed Steve Bisgay as chief financial officer as part of an expansion of its senior leadership team.
In the New York-based role, Bisgay will lead the firms global finance teams and will focus on corporate development, as well as investor relations.
He will report to Chris Pento, Clear Streets co-founder and CEO.
Bisgay succeeds Jacob Asbury, who will assist in the transition and will remain with the company in a consulting capacity.
He brings more than three decades of financial experience to his new role. Bisgay previously served as executive managing director and chief financial officer at Cantor Fitzgerald since 2015.
Over his career, he has held a number of senior leadership roles at BGC Partners, KCG Holdings, Knight Capital Group and PwC.
In addition to the hire of Bisgay, Clear Street has also appointed Ursula Clay as chief compliance officer (CCO) and managing director of Clear Street Derivatives.
Clay has gained more than 30 years of industry experience, most recently acting as managing director and COO at Nearwater Capital since 2021.
She has also served in senior compliance roles at FINRA, Morgan Stanley and Exos 厙惇勛圖, and managed her own swap dealer consulting business. In the new role, she will report to Pat Travers, CEO of Clear Street Derivatives.
Brent Posner will also join the team as chief operating officer (COO) for Clear Street Futures. He is a COO with more than 20 years of experience in senior executive management positions at multi-asset class global financial services companies.
Prior to joining Clear Street, he was senior vice president and COO at ED&F Man Capital Markets. He will report to Chris Smith, CEO of Clear Street Futures.
