OCC enlists Woods to board of directors

The Options Clearing Corporation (OCC) has appointed Josh Woods to its board of directors.

He brings nearly 20 years of experience in finance and technology to this position, and is currently chief technology officer at Citadel Íø±¬³Ô¹Ï.

At Citadel Íø±¬³Ô¹Ï, Woods leads technology teams that design and build the systems that power global trading.

Previously, he acted as senior director of engineering at Oracle, where he was responsible for engineering infrastructure and cloud-related initiatives between 2014 and 2016.

Prior to that, he was director of engineering at Salesforce from 2012 to 2014. Notably, Woods spent six years at technology firm IBM, where he took on a number of positions, including s advisory software engineer for IBM Connections.

Commenting on the news, OCC chairman Craig Donohue says: “Josh has a deep knowledge and understanding of financial technology, and we are pleased to welcome him as a director and a member of our Technology Committee.â€

“Our board and members will benefit from Josh’s expertise as we continue to foster innovation for market participants while promoting stability and integrity in our markets.â€
