Montran has implemented its central securities depository (CSD) system at the central bank of Kosovo (BQK).

According to the market infrastructure solution provider, its modern technology solution is fully integrated with Montran’s real-time gross settlement system (RTGS), and unifies the comprehensive management of dematerialised financial instruments for the BQK.

“Our CSD enables the central bank to optimise processes and harness valuable benefits for the entire financial marketplace through the integration to Montran’s Payments Market Infrastructure operating in Kosovo,” says Keith Esca, European sales director at Montran.

Following the go-live, Montran continues its close collaboration with the central bank, aiming to provide ongoing maintenance, support, and future enhancements.

Shkendije Nahi, director of asset and reserve management at the BQK, adds: “We have seen a positive impact with the deployment of the new CSD, and we are excited to have advanced the platform to better respond to the needs of our customers and stakeholders.”

Montran has with the Central Depository and Clearing Company of Croatia (SKDD) to launch a CSD platform.
