Jeremy Anderson is the new Chairman of KPMG's Global Financial Services practice. He succeeds Brendan Nelson, who retired from KPMG on March 31 to become a non-executive director at Royal Bank of Scotland Group plc.

Jeremy Anderson has more than 20 years' experience in the financial services industry, working with many of our firms' leading clients across Europe, the U.S. and Australia. He comes to this role from his previous position as Head of Financial Services for KPMG's Europe, Middle East and Africa region.

Anderson said: "The next few years will be a critical time for the financial services industry as companies navigate significant regulatory, risk and business changes, and respond to the rapidly evolving global economy. I look forward to leading our global financial services practice as we help our firms' clients to thrive in this changing world."

Tim Flynn, Chairman of KPMG International, said: "The financial services sector lies at the heart of the transformation of the global business environment. Jeremy has considerable experience across key sectors including banking and insurance. I am confident his insights and knowledge will help our firms' clients better understand the many complex issues and challenges they now face."
