Former Morgan Stanley employee heads to Cantor Fitzgerald

Cantor Fitzgerald & Co., a financial services firm, has welcomed former Morgan Stanley employee Saurav Chatterjee as managing director in the equity capital markets division.

Based in Hong Kong, Chatterjee is responsible for leading the cash equity sales team and expanding the firm's equities trading business in Japan. He reports to Jarred Kessler, global head of equities for Cantor Fitzgerald.

Shawn Matthews, chief executive officer of Cantor Fitzgerald & Co. said: "We are continuing to hire experienced professionals with a deep understanding of the international marketplace and client relationships in Asia Pacific and in particular key markets such as Japan. Saurav has a strong track record of success and comes to Cantor with a wealth of knowledge of the Japanese market."

Chatterjee served as executive director of client facilitation at Morgan Stanley, responsible for risk pricing and managing client portfolios, and as executive director and head of international sales and trading. Previously he was associate director at Macquarie Íø±¬³Ô¹Ï in international sales and trading.

Cantor Fitzgerald is a capital markets investment bank serving the middle market with investment and merchant banking services, prime brokerage, and commercial real estate financing.
