Matrix expands its Asset Management Business

The fast growing Asset Management business of the Matrix Group is expanding its sales and marketing functions with the appointments of Chris Beament as Business Development Manager and Chris Elliott as Marketing Executive.

Chris Beament joins Matrix from Legal & General Investment Management where he spent four years distributing their unit trust range. Chris graduated from Kingston Business School having completed a four year degree which included a placement year within the financial services industry.

Beament will report to Luke Reeves, Director, Head of Retail and Institutional Business Development and will be responsible for the distribution of Matrix' funds including single strategy hedge funds, funds of hedge funds and externally managed funds to the institutional, private client and intermediary marketplaces.

Chris Elliott joins Matrix from Goldman Sachs in Auckland where he spent two years as an Analyst in the Private Wealth Management division. Chris graduated from Queen Mary's University, London with a BSc (Hons) in Economics. Chris will report to Ben Fox, Product & Marketing Manager.

Commenting on the appointments, Chris Merry, CEO of Matrix Group, said "Matrix now has funds under management of more than GBP 3 billion. As we grow, we have continued to strengthen our sales, marketing, operational and risk management teams. I am delighted to welcome Chris Beament and Chris Elliott to the Asset Management team. Their skills and experience will be of major benefit to us as we continue to launch new products and funds."
